Hi Swimmers,
This is our 2nd club walk and is the prettiest and easier of the 3 but will involve clambering over a few rocks and fallen trees, so a little agility will be required. The walk will take around 3 to 4 hours to complete and is approximately 11km long with a couple of steep short hilly sections. There will be no rush and we will regroup at regular intervals. I walked the tail on Sunday and met two groups in the 40 to 70 years of age range and they were taking it easy really enjoying the scenery and the walk.
What to Bring:
A good pair of walking boots or joggers that you are comfortable with, 3 bottles of water, hat, sunscreen, chocolate or muesli bar to snack on, your medications, change of cloths, BBQ packs & after walk drinks, your partner and a small backpack to carry your water and things in.
When and here:
We will met up at 8am for an 8:15 firm start at the Serpentine National Park car park and return there around mid day for a BBQ lunch. The Serpentine National Park is on Falls Road off the South West Highway approximately 20 minutes drive from Armadale.
Map:
I have tracked and logged the walk which can be found on MyEveryTrail. Just click on this Link to take you there. I have added some pictures which I took so you have some idea of the scenery which is stunning. There are also options to see the map in different formats by clicking on Terrain, Hybrid Satellite or Map on the top right hand corner of the map.
Hope to see you there.
