About Us

A group of dedicated and keen swimmers started as AUSSI Masters Swimming Club – Armadale and the inaugural meeting was in December 1984. The AUSSI stood for Australian Union of Senior Swimmers International. AUSSI has now been dropped by Masters Swimming Australia and we are now known as Armadale Masters Swimming Club. The motto in Masters Swimming is Fitness, Friendship and Fun and looking through the archives it is evident that the members have lived up to that motto.

Our ‘home’ ground is Armadale Aquatic Centre throughout the summer months and as the centre closes over the winter months we have had to source other venues for training. Over the years we have trained at Thornlie Pool, South Lakes, Riverton, Kenwick, Somerset and St Brigid’s Lesmurdie to name a few. For Winter 2013 we will training at the Cannington Leisureplex.

We owe much to those dedicated members who started the club and to those who have come after who have kept the club going in the spirit that it was intended and maintained today.
